The Role:
This is a hands-on maternity cover role, joining the marketing team at a busy and important time for the firm. You will work closely with Partners and colleagues across the business, providing confident, practical marketing support and delivering campaigns, content and events to a high standard. Alongside your marketing workload, you will pick up a share of business development activity, including coordinating bids, tenders and legal directory submissions. Managing a Marketing Assistant day to day, you will keep priorities on track and provide continuity through a busy period for the team. This role will suit an organised, personable marketing professional who can build relationships quickly and juggle a varied workload with confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver marketing plans across the firm and individual practice areas.
- Coordinate the company's bids and proposals process, including drafting submissions and managing uploads and related communications.
- Support the company's processes, following best practice guidance and coordinating submissions and follow-up.
- Manage and grow the company's social media presence to build profile and drive website traffic.
- Manage event delivery from invitation through to on-the-day execution.
- Produce and coordinate marketing materials including brochures, newsletters, tenders and client guides.
- Support content strategy for practice areas, contributing to PR, blogs, video and podcast output.
- Support sector growth and cross-selling activity alongside colleagues across the firm.
- Track marketing spend and evaluate return on investment across campaigns and agencies.
- Line manage a Marketing Assistant, providing day-to-day guidance and support.
What You'll Need:
Essential:
- A third-level qualification in Marketing or a related discipline.
- Significant experience operating at a senior marketing level, ideally within professional services.
- Proven track record delivering multi-channel campaigns across digital, social, PR, sponsorship and brand management.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate ROI and act on data-driven insight.
- Experience managing multiple marketing projects simultaneously to tight deadlines.
Desirable / Nice to Have:
- Experience managing, supporting or mentoring a team.
- Working knowledge of content management systems, Canva, Adobe and Google Analytics.
