The Role
You’ll join a brand-new engineering pod in Belfast tasked with building a real-time exchange connection layer that synchronises data across multiple cryptocurrency exchanges. This forms the backbone of a new trading platform launching next year, and you’ll be one of the first engineers writing the code that defines how it’s built. Working closely with the global engineering team, you’ll design, develop, and optimise low-latency systems handling large, real-time data flows. As Belfast scales into the hub it’s designed to become, this pod will grow further, with QA, DevOps, and Support Engineers joining around the foundation you help set.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain real-time systems connecting multiple crypto exchanges.
- Build event-driven architectures that synchronise large volumes of data efficiently.
- Optimise JVM performance and contribute to high-availability, low-latency system design.
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders across Belfast and the wider global team to deliver robust, scalable solutions.
