The Role

This is a great entry point into enterprise networking for someone with a solid foundation who is ready to apply their skills in a complex, real-world environment. You will sit within a well-established infrastructure team, supporting the design, deployment, and day-to-day management of the firm's network across both on-premises and Azure cloud environments. • Assist with troubleshooting network issues, including connectivity, routing, and performance problems.
  • Contribute to the monitoring of systems and services, helping to maintain reliability, availability, and performance.
  • Help maintain accurate documentation within IT Service Management tools and keep configuration records up to date.
  • Apply security best practices under guidance, including vulnerability patching and cybersecurity tooling.
  • Collaborate with team members and external vendors to support infrastructure delivery and ongoing improvements.
  • Participate in automation and infrastructure-as-code initiatives, gaining exposure to tools such as Terraform and Azure services.
  • Support backup, configuration management, and business continuity processes as directed.

What You'll Need

Essential:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a networking, IT infrastructure, or systems support role.
  • Working knowledge of core networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments, ideally Microsoft Azure.
  • Good troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach to problem solving.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Desirable / Nice to Have:

  • Exposure to SD-WAN solutions or network load balancing technologies.
  • ITIL Foundation awareness or certification.
  • Any relevant networking certification (e.g. CompTIA Network+, CCNA).

Why Apply?

  • Salary of £28,000 - £38,000 depending on experience, plus bonus.
  • Hybrid working from Belfast - a genuine mix of office and home.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including pension and annual leave.
  • Exposure to enterprise-grade infrastructure across cloud and on-premises.
  • Structured support and mentorship from an experienced infrastructure team.
  • Work within a firm that values its technology function and invests in it.
