The Role This role sits inside the Group Finance team and takes ownership of Treasury and Tax, alongside a supporting hand across financial planning and performance reporting. You'll be the person keeping an eye on cash and liquidity, making sure the numbers stack up against regulatory and accounting requirements, and helping the wider business make better decisions with sharper forecasting and reporting. It's a role that touches nearly every part of the finance function and puts you in front of senior leadership regularly. Own the weekly cash flow reporting cycle, keeping forecasts accurate and flagging variances early, with liquidity positions reported up to senior management Run the Group's FX hedging activity, covering hedge accounting, effectiveness testing and the associated financial reporting and policy compliance Manage day-to-day banking relationships and the Group's cash position to keep liquidity objectives on track Keep internal controls across Tax and Treasury tight, in line with policy, regulation and good governance Handle intercompany funding, loan admin, interest charging and balance settlement in line with treasury policy Deliver the Group's established tax strategy, including the relevant reliefs and transfer pricing arrangements that apply Work closely with finance managers, tax auditors and outside consultants, UK and international, on annual corporation tax computations and deferred tax schedules for the parent company and its subsidiaries Pull together cashflow and balance sheet budgets, forecasts and monthly reporting Report on the monthly FX impact Build and maintain KPI dashboards Support the wider team through month-end, gathering data and writing up commentary The Person Membership of Chartered Accountants Ireland, ICAEW or ICAS, having trained with a medium or large accountancy firm Confident presentation and interpersonal skills Post-qualification experience at financial accountant level Real, hands-on experience preparing or reviewing tax computations and returns, plus solid knowledge of deferred tax Comfort coordinating with auditors, tax advisors and legal counsel Strong written and spoken communication, and confidence with PowerPoint, Excel and Word The ability to build out financial plans, schedules and controls, from budgets to forecasts to profitability reporting For more information on this role, or any other Accountancy and Finance position, please contact Gemma Murphy.
