The Role
This is a senior leadership position responsible for delivery across a portfolio of customer implementations, engineering initiatives and strategic business programmes. You will establish robust governance frameworks, manage portfolio priorities and ensure the successful delivery of multiple concurrent workstreams spanning both capital and operational expenditure. Working closely with senior stakeholders across Sales, Product Development, Infrastructure, Customer Success and Operations, you will align execution with business objectives while driving continuous improvement. The role suits an experienced delivery leader who can set direction, lead governance forums and develop a high-performing project management team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project, programme and portfolio delivery across technical and operational workstreams
- Establish and embed robust project governance frameworks
- Own project intake, prioritisation, resource allocation and budgeting
- Manage portfolio dependencies, risks and reporting
- Lead governance forums and ensure best-practice delivery throughout
- Align project execution with wider business objectives
- Mentor and develop Project Managers across the team
- Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across the portfolio
What You'll Need
Essential:
- Significant portfolio, programme or project management experience in a related industry
- Proven delivery of complex technical, operational and capital investment projects
- Experience operating within PMO structures and project governance frameworks
- Strong stakeholder management and the ability to influence at all levels
- Excellent financial and commercial acumen, including budget ownership
- Experience managing portfolios, dependencies, risks and resource allocation
- Strong grasp of delivery methodologies and continuous improvement principles
- Hands-on with tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira or Azure DevOps
- A proven ability to lead, mentor and develop project management teams
Desirable / Nice to Have:
- Facilities Management, Building Services, HVAC or Energy Management experience
- Knowledge of Hardware or Software Asset Management initiatives
- Background in retail, hospitality, food production or multi-site operations
- Certifications such as MoP, PfMP, PMP, PRINCE2 or Lean Six Sigma
- Exposure to high-growth, scale-up or venture-backed organisations
