About the Role
We are currently working on behalf of a trusted client who is seeking a proactive and organised Finance Administrator to join our finance team in Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and financial skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day administrative support to the finance function, ensuring financial records are maintained accurately and processes run efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing purchase invoices and supplier payments
- Raising sales invoices and allocating customer receipts
- Reconciling bank accounts and supplier statements
- Assisting with credit control and following up on outstanding payments
- Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems
- Processing employee expenses
- Supporting payroll administration where required
- Assisting with month-end procedures and financial reporting
- Responding to supplier and customer account queries
- Preparing reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel
- Providing general administrative support to the finance department
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a finance or accounts role
- Good numerical skills and excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar (desirable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
