Agentic AI Platform Engineer in Belfast, Hybrid (2 days per week in office) within the AI Services team, working closely with Architecture, Security and QA.
Responsibilities include:
- Building the secure AWS-based platform powering AI products across the business.
- Hands-on engineering with real influence over how the capability is built.
- Building and maintaining the AWS-based platform used across the business for AI products.
- Applying the platform to real use cases and supporting it once live.
- Solving practical problems around reliability, quality and cost.
Requirements:
- 4+ years' experience in software engineering, with significant microservice-driven Java experience.
- Strong AWS experience (ECS/Fargate, Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, CloudFormation, CloudWatch).
- Experience with AWS AI services, particularly Amazon Bedrock.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD and DevOps in an Agile environment.
- Experience with AI-driven engineering tools (e.g. AWS certification, including AI/ML or Bedrock-specific training).
- Experience building or contributing to an internal developer platform.
- Event-driven architecture/messaging experience (Kafka, AWS MSK).
- Familiarity with Python or TypeScript.
