Senior Data Migration Manager
Location: Hybrid
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Eligibility: UK work authorisation required (no sponsorship)
We are looking for a Senior Data Migration Manager to lead and scale customer data migrations as part of a growing SaaS delivery function. This role is focused on programme ownership, team leadership, and operational excellence. You will set direction for how migrations are planned and delivered, oversee complex programmes, and ensure the right processes, controls, and standards are in place rather than being embedded in day-to-day coding. If you enjoy leading teams, improving delivery models, and working closely with customers and stakeholders, this role offers real scope to shape how data migrations are done at scale.
Why join?
- Lead a critical capability within a growing SaaS platform
- Shape delivery standards, processes, and operating models
- Work with global customers across the UK, US and beyond
- High-trust culture with real autonomy
- Flexible working and strong focus on wellbeing
- Clear investment in leadership and career development
What you will be doing:
- Owning the end-to-end delivery of complex customer data migration programmes
- Leading, coaching, and developing a team of migration specialists
- Acting as the senior point of accountability for migration outcomes, risks, and timelines
- Defining and maintaining migration run flows, operating procedures, and delivery documentation
- Ensuring consistent quality, governance, and validation across all migrations
- Partnering with customers and internal stakeholders to align on scope, expectations, and delivery plans
- Identifying and driving process, tooling, and capability improvements as the function scales
- Representing data migration within wider programme and delivery forums
What you will bring:
- Strong experience leading complex data migration initiatives into SaaS platforms
- Proven people and delivery leadership experience
- Solid understanding of data structures, SQL-based environments, and migration concepts
- Experience owning delivery processes, playbooks, and operational governance
- Confident communicator, comfortable working with senior stakeholders and customers
- Organised, pragmatic, and outcomes-focused
Nice to have:
- Python, ETL tools, or automation experience
- Background in SaaS or cloud-based data environments
- Experience creating operating models, playbooks, or migration frameworks
