Systems Administrator - Belfast (Hybrid)

Our client, a fast-growing technology-focused organisation, is looking for a Systems Administrator to join their Belfast-based team. This is a hands-on role with real ownership of a modern, cloud-first IT environment, supporting a business scaling its platforms and operations globally.

You'll play a key role in keeping systems secure, reliable, and optimised working across Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and Entra ID in a collaborative and fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage end-user technology (laptops, mobiles, tablets) from provisioning through to support
  • Administer core platforms including Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Entra ID, Jira, and Confluence
  • Maintain and enhance endpoint security, MDM policies, and Microsoft Defender controls
  • Support backup, disaster recovery, and data protection strategies
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring minimal disruption
  • Contribute to implementation of new systems and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Create and maintain clear technical documentation

Experience

  • 3-5+ years' experience in a Systems Administrator / IT Infrastructure role
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and Entra ID
  • Experience managing MDM, endpoint security, and Defender
  • Solid understanding of backup, DR, and cybersecurity best practices
  • Experience supporting tools like Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset

Nice to Have

  • Certifications such as AZ-104, Endpoint Administrator, Security certs, or Network+
  • Experience documenting systems and processes in Confluence
