As a Senior Trading Operations Executive, you will play a pivotal role in the smooth running of trading operations, focusing on accuracy, compliance, and automation. You will be responsible for handling and approving payment instructions involving fiat currency and digital assets, ensuring that transaction details and counterparty wallet information are meticulously verified and processed. How do you bring operational rigor to high-value, time-sensitive payment processes while supporting clients with professionalism?

Beyond payments, you will manage cryptocurrency accounts and wallets held with custodians, oversee the end-to-end payment lifecycle including fund releases, and ensure strict adherence to internal controls and due diligence. You will also provide high-quality client support, escalating inquiries when necessary, and collaborate with key internal stakeholders such as Business Development, Technology, Compliance, Legal, and Finance to align operational processes with business objectives.

Continuous operational risk assessments and the implementation of effective controls to mitigate those risks will be part of your regular duties. How do you identify and drive meaningful process improvements and automation to enhance workflow and operational efficiency? Additionally, you will provide informal guidance and on-the-job training to new team members, helping build a strong, knowledgeable operations team.

Responsibilities

  • Handle and approve fiat and digital asset payment instructions raised by the trading desk, verifying transaction accuracy.
  • Manage the organization\'s cryptocurrency accounts and wallets held with custodians.
  • Oversee the complete payment process, including releasing funds to counterparties while ensuring compliance with controls and due diligence procedures.
  • Deliver exceptional client service support, managing escalations and directing client inquiries appropriately.
  • Support operational aspects across business units, maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Conduct ongoing operational risk assessments and introduce controls to mitigate identified risks effectively.
  • Work closely with Business Development, Technology, Compliance, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure cohesive operational execution.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives focused on workflow streamlining and increased automation.
  • Provide informal mentoring and training to new and existing team members.

Requirements

  • 8 to 10 years of experience in a Middle Office, Client Services, or Cash Settlements role within financial services.
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent Banking industry experience will be considered.
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills with great attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound judgment in decision-making.
  • Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
