The Role

This is a senior-level contract role for an experienced .NET developer to join a team working on enterprise-scale platforms. You will work alongside senior engineers, architects and product owners to deliver robust, scalable solutions on a 12 month engagement. The role suits someone comfortable operating with minimal oversight, able to make sound technical decisions and confident contributing to architecture as well as hands-on delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable backend services using C# and .NET Core
  • Lead technical delivery on key components of the enterprise platform
  • Collaborate with architects to shape solution design and technical direction
  • Own code quality through testing, code review and sound engineering practice
  • Build and maintain cloud-native services deployed on Azure
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues across the platform
  • Mentor less experienced developers within the team
  • Work closely with product owners to translate requirements into technical solutions

What You'll Need

Essential:

  • 5+ years' experience developing with C# and .NET Core
  • Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale platforms or systems
  • Strong experience with Azure cloud services
  • Solid grasp of RESTful API design and microservices architecture
  • Right to work in the UK, based in or able to travel to Belfast for on-site days
  • Available for an immediate start

Desirable / Nice to Have:

  • Experience with event-driven or message-based architectures (e.g. Service Bus, Kafka)
  • Exposure to Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline management
