Senior DevOps Engineer
Location: Remote or Hybrid – Belfast
Type: Permanent | Competitive salary + benefits
A growing software organisation is scaling its platform engineering function and is hiring two Senior DevOps Engineers to build, automate, and optimise cloud-native infrastructure supporting products used by tens of thousands of customers.
You’ll work across Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, and modern CI/CD tooling to drive reliability, automation, and deployment velocity.
Day-to-day:
- Build and maintain Azure-based AKS infrastructure.
- Deliver Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitOps (ArgoCD) and automated testing.
- Implement observability across logging, monitoring, dashboards, and alerting.
- Improve performance, reliability, and deployment workflows for engineering teams.
- Embed security best practices and manage secrets, access, and vulnerability scanning.
- Support incident response, documentation, and on‑call rotation.
- Mentor engineers and influence platform strategy.
Experience:
- Strong experience in a Senior DevOps/Platform Engineering role.
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, Terraform, and Azure.
- CI/CD experience (GitOps/ArgoCD or similar).
- Proficiency in Bash/Python and automation practices.
- Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
- Strong troubleshooting and distributed systems understanding.
Nice to Have: GitHub Actions, cloud networking, security tooling, FinOps, SQL/Postgres/Redis, AI/ML pipelines, SaaS background, ELK stack, DR/BCP.
