About the Company

Our client is a well-established, global professional services firm with a strong risk and compliance culture. As part of ongoing investment in this area, they are growing their Risk and Compliance function and are looking to add an experienced Operations Analyst to support client life cycle management activity.

The Role

As part of the Client life cycle Management function, you will coordinate the AML on-boarding process for the front-line business. This includes undertaking quality reviews of due diligence documentation, performing client screening activities for AML and Sanctions purposes, preparing client and matter risk assessments for review and sign-off, and supporting the timely collection of information required for on-boarding. You will also act as a key point of contact for AML-related queries from new and existing clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Identification and Verification (ID&V) and client screening checks (PEPs, Sanctions and Adverse Media) using the firm's AML digital on-boarding solution
  • Act as a point of contact for the front-to-back AML client on-boarding journey, liaising with clients and internal stakeholders to resolve bottlenecks
  • Undertake Ultimate Beneficial Ownership (UBO) assessments for more complex ownership structures
  • Review client screening results, determine true or false matches, and escalate as required
  • Assist in completing client and matter risk assessments for review and sign-off
  • Conduct file reviews for new and existing clients to ensure AML and Sanctions documentation is complete
  • Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to obtain mandatory information for due diligence checks
  • Document AML/Sanctions-related research and analysis to a standard suitable for internal and external review
  • Identify and elevate higher-risk clients requiring Enhanced Due Diligence
  • Produce key MI reporting relating to the AML client onboarding journey

What You'll Need

Essential:

  • Educated to degree level, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • At least 3 years' experience in a regulated professional services environment
  • Experience in one or more of: AML client on-boarding, Sanctions/PEPs alert handling, client account opening and closing, or document management
  • Working knowledge of AML, Sanctions and CDD principles
  • Understanding of Client on-boarding/KYC requirements
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise across a wide range of stakeholders
  • Good planning, time management and prioritisation skills

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with AML digital on-boarding solutions
  • Experience with case management systems

Why Apply

  • Join a well-resourced, growing Risk and Compliance function
  • Genuine variety across on-boarding, screening and MI reporting
  • Exposure to complex ownership structures and higher-risk client work
