Our client is a financial technology firm, part of a leading global financial services group.
They provide high-performance, low-latency FX matching, and are now building out an engineering presence in Belfast.
Role Summary
They’re looking for a Dev Ops/SRE engineer to bring more structure and reliability to infrastructure and release processes, working closely with an existing engineer and a wider, globally distributed engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Build out infrastructure-as-code practices across an on-premise environment.
- Own and improve CI/CD pipelines.
- Build out observability: dashboards, alerting and automated checks (Grafana, Influx DB).
- Work closely with development teams to support and streamline release processes.
- Partner with an existing Dev Ops engineer and the wider engineering team.
- Support the move from ad hoc, reactive operations to a more structured, repeatable process.
Requirements
- Experience with Nomad or a comparable container orchestration tool (Kubernetes experience is transferable).
- Experience with Hashi Corp Consul and Terraform.
- Experience with monitoring/observability tooling such as Grafana and Influx DB.
- Solid grounding in CI/CD pipeline design and infrastructure-as-code.
- Comfortable operating in an on-premise, non-public-cloud environment.
- Experience in a latency-sensitive or regulated environment (e. g. finance) is an advantage.
