Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines for a range of client environments
- Liaise directly with clients on data architecture, design and technical decisions
- Deliver high quality, best-practice data engineering solutions to specification
- Work across a range of data platforms, tools and frameworks as the project demands
- Recommend and implement new ideas, tooling and innovations
- Share knowledge and contribute to team learning
- Collaborate as part of dynamic, cross-functional delivery teams
- Produce clean, efficient, well-tested and well-documented code throughout
What You'll Need
Essential:
- 3+ years of data engineering experience building and maintaining data pipelines
- Hands-on experience with Python for data processing
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases
- Experience with orchestration and transformation tools such as Airflow or dbt
- Comfortable manipulating and modelling complex datasets
- Based within commuting distance of Belfast city centre (3 days on-site required)
Desirable:
- Experience working in a client-facing or consultancy environment
- Exposure to cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure)
