Ocho is partnering with a global technology organisation to hire a Contract Senior Java Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team working on large-scale enterprise platforms within a real-time data environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain scalable Java applications
- Develop new features and enhancements across enterprise platforms
- Contribute to architecture, resilience and system design discussions
- Work with cloud-native technologies and containerised environments
- Participate in CI/CD pipeline development and automation initiatives
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to troubleshoot and improve production systems
- Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering best practices
- Research and evaluate new technologies and tooling

- Strong commercial experience with Java development
- Experience building scalable backend or distributed systems
- Exposure to cloud environments and modern engineering practices
- Strong understanding of clean code, testing and maintainability
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops tooling
- Comfortable working in Agile, collaborative engineering environments
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Desirable Experience
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker or containerised platforms
