Overview: We're working with a well-established business in the recycling and parts distribution industry that is embarking on a major technology transformation. They're seeking a Contract CTO to lead the modernisation of their systems and define a future-ready technology roadmap. This is a high-impact role for someone who can balance hands-on technical input with strategic leadership, helping a traditionally offline operation embrace scalable, data-led systems.
Responsibilities:
- Own and execute the company's short- and long-term technology strategy
- Modernise outdated systems and implement scalable, cloud-first infrastructure
- Oversee upgrades to ecommerce, CRM, and inventory platforms
- Act as a bridge between technology and the board, translating business needs into tech delivery
- Manage third-party vendors and in-house teams to drive execution
- Introduce process automation across logistics, finance, and customer experience
- Ensure security, operational resilience, and compliance with data standards
Required Experience:
- Proven track record in senior technology leadership roles
