This is a Staff-level role at the top of the engineering team, combining deep technical contribution with the influence to shape direction. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to own meaningful parts of a complex system, make architectural calls and raise the bar for the engineers around them.
What you'll be doing:
- Designing and building high-performance, low-level systems in modern C++
- Owning architecture and technical direction across complex, performance-critical components
- Working close to the hardware - memory management, concurrency, optimisation and systems-level problem solving
- Setting engineering standards and best practices across the team
- Mentoring and elevating the engineers around you
- Contributing to technical strategy at a senior level

- Deep, production-grade C++ expertise, with a strong grasp of modern C++ standards
- Solid experience with low-level and systems-level engineering - memory, concurrency, performance optimisation
