The Role: This is a senior security engineering position within a modern cloud engineering environment focused on improving security posture across software delivery, infrastructure and internal platforms. You'll operate across both hands-on engineering and security strategy, helping shape secure-by-design practices while building scalable tooling and automation around vulnerability management, monitoring and cloud security operations. The role offers genuine technical ownership alongside the opportunity to influence engineering teams across the wider business. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop internal security tooling and automation solutions.
- Drive secure-by-design engineering practices across development teams.
- Build and improve cloud security monitoring and vulnerability management processes.
- Work closely with engineering teams to remediate security risks and improve resilience.
- Monitor, triage and investigate security threats and incidents.
- Contribute to architectural decisions across security and platform engineering.
- Maintain and improve security-related data platforms and infrastructure visibility.

What You'll Need:
Essential:
- Strong commercial experience within Security Engineering or Security Operations.
- Hands-on development experience using languages such as Python, Java, Go or SQL.
- Strong AWS cloud security experience (IAM, Security Hub, monitoring, logging etc.).
- Experience working within modern CI/CD and cloud-native engineering environments.
- Strong understanding of application security, threat modelling and secure development practices.
- Comfortable operating within Linux-based environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience working with AI-focused security tooling.
- Exposure to SIEM platforms and cloud observability tooling.
- Experience mentoring or leading engineers within security-focused teams.
