- Establish and enforce data quality standards, testing frameworks and SLAs across all integrated data sources.
- Oversee design, implementation and maintenance of data integrations between on-prem and cloud enterprise services.
- Champion a culture of documentation including architecture diagrams, data dictionaries and runbooks.
- Partner with Product Managers and Business Analysts to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Contribute to hiring, onboarding and performance management, building and retaining a high-performing engineering team.
What You'll Need
Essential
- 8+ years of data engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a people management or technical lead role.
- Strong hands-on SQL proficiency (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MSSQL or Snowflake) and experience with a JVM-based language (Java or Groovy).
- Proven track record designing and delivering large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines and data transformation applications.
- Hands-on experience with DBT and Snowflake.
- Experience in regulated financial services environments (payments, reconciliation or safeguarding).
- Strong working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and cloud data architecture.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tooling (GitLab, Jenkins or equivalent) and agile delivery practices.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for business audiences.
Desirable
- Familiarity with Oracle EPM or similar reconciliation platforms.
- Experience with automation frameworks, unit testing and integration testing for data pipelines.
- Python scripting experience.
Why Apply?
- Competitive salary up to £110,000 plus bonus.
- Fully remote working across the UK and Ireland.
- Real ownership and autonomy in a high-trust engineering culture.
- Opportunity to shape a mission-critical data platform at enterprise scale.
