We are looking for a caring, compassionate and resilient individual with experience in working with children or young adults who may have social, emotional or behavioural difficulties, or with learning disabilities such as ADHD or autism. You will provide care and education to these children and young adults. Training will be provided to enable you to deliver high quality care and education.

What we offer:

  • £31,822.70 - £35,087.78 annual salary (DOE & qualifications) excluding sleepover shifts
  • 33 sleepovers per year at £65 = £2,145.00

  • Week 2: Monday – Off, Tuesday – Off, Wednesday – 07:30 to 20:30, Thursday – 07:30 to 20:30, Friday – 07:30 to 20:30, Saturday – Off, Sunday – Off

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Have a genuine interest in the rights & welfare of young people.
  • Ability to safely manage conflict/challenging situations which may include verbal and physical behaviours.
  • Understanding of principles of safeguarding and child protection legislation.
  • Committed to the principle of continued professional development (CPD) and working towards achieving the necessary qualifications.
  • Patient yet firm.
  • Confident in setting boundaries.
  • Flexible in approach.
  • Must have eligibility to work full-time in the UK.
  • Must live in a commuting distance from Ochil Tower School.
  • Must have own mode of transport.
  • HNC in Social Care/Social Services and SVQ 3 Children and Young People / adults (or equivalent qualifications as recognised by SSSC).
  • Knowledge of Social Pedagogy, Camphill Schools/Community.

Based on a picturesque seven-acre campus, we are a non-denominational residential school for children and young people aged 8 to 18. Our 52-week provision provides consistency, stability, and opportunity for learning throughout the year. The school is part of the Camphill Community which comprises 11 different Camphill sites in Scotland.
