We are seeking a Fabric Cutter to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately cutting fabric according to specified patterns and measurements, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail who want to learn how fabric handling and fabrication. The Fabric Cutter will play a vital part in the production process.

Main responsibilities:

  • Fabric cutting
  • Accurately measure and mark fabric based on pattern specifications using hand tools and cutting equipment
  • Operate various tools and specialised cutting machinery safely and efficiently
  • Follow detailed technical drawings and instructions to ensure precise cuts
  • Maintain organisation of fabric stock and ensure correct storage to prevent damage or wastage
  • Conduct quality checks on cut fabric to identify any defects or inconsistencies
  • Standard Meterage file aiming to minimise fabric waste/costs and maximise productivity through cutting process
  • Ability to cover all aspects of cutting & sewing area
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining safety standards
  • Keep work area clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations

Experience:

Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail and precision in measurement and cutting tasks. We will provide full training and are therefore looking for the passion for someone to want to learn rather than experience.
