The Work: You’ll sit at the intersection of risk, data, and real-world trading operations. The platform you’ll be implementing helps trading firms manage credit exposure, collateral and counterparty risk across energy and commodities markets. Instead of writing code all day, you’ll translate how trading desks operate into configured workflows, data models and reporting solutions inside the system.

  • Understanding how clients manage risk and collateral
  • Turning those requirements into configured software workflows
  • Helping them connect data, reporting and operational processes

You’ll spend time with both sides of the organization. One moment you’re working with a risk manager explaining how exposure limits are calculated. The next you’re sitting with engineers reviewing data integration or configuration changes. The team is small enough that your input matters. You won’t be one of fifty consultants delivering the same template project over and over again. You’ll work directly with experienced colleagues who have spent years building risk platforms for trading firms. And because the software sits so close to the operational heart of a trading business, you’ll quickly develop a strong understanding of how energy and commodities markets actually function.

What you’ll be doing: You’ll lead or contribute to software implementations used by trading firms across Europe. That includes:

  • Gathering and analysing how clients manage risk, collateral and exposure
  • Configuring workflows and system logic to match those processes
  • Supporting data integration and reporting using SQL and BI tools
  • Running workshops, demos and training sessions with end users
  • Troubleshooting issues and coordinating with product and engineering teams
  • Helping improve implementation practices across the consulting team

You’ll also mentor junior consultants and contribute to shaping how the delivery team works as the product evolves. Occasional travel to client offices may happen depending on project needs.

What will make this work for you: You’ll probably recognise most of the following from your background:

  • Around 8+ years implementing enterprise software within a vendor or consulting environment
  • Experience working with risk, energy, commodities or financial trading systems
  • Confidence using SQL and reporting tools such as Power BI or SSRS
  • Comfort working directly with business users and technical teams
  • Experience translating business processes into system configuration

If you’ve previously worked on credit risk, collateral management, or trading platform implementations, that will help. But the most important thing is that you enjoy being the person who can understand a problem, configure a solution, and explain it clearly to the people using it.
