The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
Lead by example and enforce company policy. Ensure diving operations are carried in accordance with the UK Diving at Work Regulations. Maintain relevant diving qualifications to ensure you can dive. Report and liaise with the Diving Supervisors and Superintendents/Operations coordinators to ensure operations are of a high standard. Support the inspection/audit of life support equipment and plant 'load out and load in' lists to ensure only in-date equipment is used on projects. Clean and maintain diving equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition. Provide operational feedback to assist with the development and growth of UK operations. Provide reasonable support to maintenance teams in the Chandlers Ford and Plymouth office when required.
Typical tasks include but are not limited to:
- Underwater inspection, repair, and maintenance (IRM) of vessels and estates/infrastructure.
- Inspections, hull blanking, propeller polishing, hull cleaning, use of hand tools, air tools, and hydraulic tools.
- Support underwater lifting operations for divers with appropriate competencies.
- Use company vehicles to drive equipment to dive sites and between offices.
- Collaborate with other team members, such as engineers and project managers, to plan and execute underwater projects.
Minimum Requirements:
- Recognised Diving qualification supported with evidence of training.
- Must hold an in-date HSE Diving Medical and keep up to date.
- Evidence of experience by way of a diving log book.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience, preferably 5 years at an inshore/offshore work site.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good computer skills using Microsoft packages.
- Eligibility for Security Clearance up to SC.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in afloat ship repair on inshore/offshore diving projects.
- Hold a current suitable first aid qualification.
