Night Care Assistant – Supporting a Baby with Complex Health Needs in Torpoint
Night Shifts Available Monday-Thursday. Full Time Contracts Available.
Ocean Healthcare is looking for an experienced female Healthcare Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a 1-year-old boy with complex health needs. He has recently been discharged home following a long hospital stay and now lives with his twin brother, older sister, and his mum and dad.
This young boy has a tracheostomy and requires BiPAP support, regular suctioning, and oxygen saturation monitoring. He also requires support with gastrostomy care, gravity feeds, medication administration, and full personal care. Overnight care is structured, routine-led, and focused on maintaining safety, comfort, and close observation throughout the night.
He is an extremely happy little boy who gives lots of smiles and enjoys listening to lullabies, watching his tablet, and having his cuddly toys close by to help him settle and feel comforted.
Monday-Thursday: 22:00 – 08:30

What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children
- Experience with Tracheostomy care and Suctioning would be helpful but not essential as full training will be provided.
- A calm, confident and compassionate approach to care
- The ideal candidate will be an experienced Care Assistant who has worked with children and is comfortable supporting babies with complex health needs.
- Good References (covering at least 3 years)
- You must be a car driver
- Reliability and good communication
- Right to work in the UK
