Care Assistant needed to support a 38âyearâold man with autism and learning disability at his home in Chudleigh. You will be working 1:1 with the client. Shift times are 0900-1730, with 2 shifts per week (Mon and Tues). Flexibility will be appreciated, but we are willing to consider your personal circumstances if there are days/times you are unable to work.

Ocean Healthcare is looking for an experienced Care Assistant to support a gentleman who can communicate verbally and has some mobility via the use of a wheelchair. He uses CPAP overnight or whenever he sleeps and is wheelchairâdriven himself. He has regular seizures but usually does not require intervention. He lives with his mum, dad and dog. He enjoys hydrotherapy, going out, cars and talking about them. He doesn't like loud noises and can become disregulated if surprised or stray too far from routines.
Key Responsibilities- Medication Management
- Support with getting out and about and doing things around the house
- Support with keeping safe due to visual impairment
- Receive support and training from expert team
- Experienced and confident Care Assistant
- Calm when things become challenging
- Good listener and adapts to requests
- Able to do at least 2 shifts (0700-1730) per week
- Good references covering at least 3 years
- Must be a car driver
- Reliability and good communication
- Right to work in the UK (we do not offer work visas)
