As an NDT Technician, you will be an integral part of our team, working on various projects and contracts. Your primary role will be to conduct Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) procedures, ensuring the quality and safety of our operations. You will be based in Swansea but may be required to travel within Wales and the South West of England for work assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct UT Shear wave, MPI, DPI, and Radiography tests as per the specified standards and procedures.
  • Prepare and set up equipment for NDT tests, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
  • Interpret test results and provide detailed reports to the relevant teams or clients.
  • Work closely with the operations team to support long-term contracts and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Maintain and calibrate NDT equipment to meet industry standards and regulations.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians, promoting a culture of continuous learning.
  • Ensure health and safety protocols are followed during all testing procedures.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest NDT techniques and technologies, attending relevant training sessions.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other technical staff to resolve complex issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all NDT activities.

Qualifications

  • PCN/SNT Level 2 UT 3.1 & 3.2
  • PCN/SNT Level 2 Liquid Penetrant
  • PCN/SNT Level 2 Magnetic Particle
  • L1 / 2 Radiography and RPS
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Strong knowledge of NDT principles and techniques, with an understanding of industry standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration.
  • Willingness to travel and work on-site as required by project needs.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Basic computer literacy and proficiency in using relevant software.
  • A proactive and safety-conscious approach to work.
  • Valid driving license (if required for travel).
