The Operational Excellence Practitioner is responsible for supporting business partners with the development, implementation and ongoing management of their long-term strategy and objectives and execution on Operational Excellence projects.Responsibilities In conjunction with the Operational Excellence Master, provide diagnostics of the business group or function throughout the year to identify potential Operational Excellence projectsUsing DMAIC or other improvement methodologies, identify critical processes and controls necessary to meet business objectivesImplement and drive continuous improvement within the business group or functionProvide hands on utilization, implementation of Operational Excellence tools and concepts to identify areas for improvement that can accelerate business results, reduce COPQ and improve executionOversee the preparation and facilitation of Kaizen eventsAssess, improve and develop the Operational Excellence knowledge, skills and abilities of the business group or function so they can incorporate Operational Excellence principles, concepts, and tools into their day to day activities and processesMaintain KPIs for quality, productivity costs, and service delivery such as first-time quality, on time delivery, or efficiency improvementsLead high-profile – high-visibility projects using LSS, Agile, and/or project management methodologiesThis role requires flexibility to work early evening hours in order to effectively collaborate with colleagues located in different time zonesTravel is required for this role, approximately 10% of the time. This is expected to be internationally within Europe and domestically in the UK between Aberdeen and RosythOther duties as assigned.Qualifications REQUIREDBachelor\’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a quantitative roleSubstantive experience in process improvement and/or project leadershipExperience in Six Sigma / Lean Management Green Belt and the ability to achieve certificationProven track record in lean/six sigma implementation through redesigned processesExcellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiencesProject Management or Agile experienceDESIREDSolid understanding of strategy deployment, management by objectives, culture change initiatives, change management and organizational development conceptsLean Expert or Six Sigma Black Belt certificationPMP or Scrum Master preferredKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Other CharacteristicsAn ability to learn and apply new and emerging process improvement knowledge at a rapid pace.A knowledge of operational excellence, Lean Six Sigma principles and practices.Strong curiosity, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills.Develops workable implementation plans, communicates changes effectively, and builds commitment and overcomes resistance.A knowledge of industry practices and customer requirements.How To Apply Regular full-time employees who apply will be considered along with external candidates.
