The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 £ per year.

The focus of this position will be working within the regional Project Controls function, directly supporting Projects in the creation, updating, and analysis of cost management tools in a manner aiding Project management review, decision making and forecasting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cost Tracker
    • Update cost tracker based on schedule updates/changes
    • Maintain Project Forecast Update with actual billed i.e. PM&E etc.
    • Add any additional non-reimbursable costs
    • Update VO LS rate if changes (this will increase as more VO’s get closed out/added)
    • Support Finance analyst with queries
    • Regular cost tracking meeting
    • Assist with Cost analysis & closing of any activity codes
    • Assist cost analysis with Revenue allocation
  • VO’s
    • Maintain VO tracker
    • Create new VO’s for reimbursable costs
    • Update/rewrite VO’s if new costs incurred/requests have changed
    • Draft & finalise VO’s - once internally reviewed. Attach appropriate backup (quotes, invoices etc) & approvals – make sure all is saved in VO folder too.
    • Get internal approval (PM) for VO.
    • Hold weekly VO/Cost Meeting with client and have clear actions in place to discuss.
    • Get external approval (client to sign off in weekly meeting)
    • Ensure PO coverage to Bill complete VO’s.
    • Collate and attach all Backup, including 3rd party, signed timesheets, email approvals, DPRS and send to QtC alongside signed VO so billing process can begin.
  • Timesheets
    • Populate PM&E, Onshore Readiness & VO timesheets
    • Create ‘VO’ timesheet for increased personnel in-country i.e. above personnel in personnel uplift rate
    • Review TS in meeting with client and get signed off
    • Use GM reports for charging travel/mob days
    • Create commercial summary where appropriate & get PM to sign off
    • Send QtC Billing request with all backup in a clear manner
    • Ensure PO coverage (I maintain a PO analysis to keep on top of this)
    • Answer any QtC queries and be point of contact between QtC & client
    • Send Draft invoice to client for approval
    • Send client confirmation to Billing so they can complete & send out final invoice
    • Update S/sheets & VO tracker with invoice # and ensure copy of invoice is saved on SP.
    • Hold weekly meeting with QtC and have clear actions in place to discuss.
  • PO’s
    • Maintain PO analysis
    • If uplift/new PO is required, provide estimates as early as possible for client to action
    • Once commercial review & sign off the PO, confirm the order in client system.
  • Additional
    • Other duties as assigned.

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Reports to Project Controls Lead – Eastern Hemisphere

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Must have a minimum three (3) years of experience in cost engineering
  • Must have three (3) years’ experience and responsibility of project cost management and reporting in an industrial environment throughout a project’s typical life cycle (Sales, Engineering, Procurement, Testing, and Offshore Execution)

DESIRED

  • Experience with Enovia and PeopleSoft
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel: expertise in complex formulas and functions, pivot tables, macros
  • Knowledge of integrating Primavera P6 with other enterprise systems, such as enterprise resource planning software.

  • Comprehensive understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Ability to evaluate project performance, identify variances and propose corrective actions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English with project managers, engineers and stakeholders both verbally and in written form.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines
  • Proactive and adaptable mindset to anticipate and address potential issues or changes in project schedules
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying up to date with the latest industry trends and advancements in project management software and tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, displaying professionalism and maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications, primarily Word and Excel, is required.
  • The ability to organize disparate information into a usable form is required.
