We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Consultant with a strong background in Integrity Engineering to join our team. This role focuses on building and maintaining strategic relationships with key clients, understanding their operational challenges, and providing expert consultation on integrity engineering and software solutions that align with their business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a hybrid environment; both virtual and office work when required.
  • Travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as a trusted technical advisor.
  • Conduct regular client meetings to understand their integrity management challenges and objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to deliver value through engineering expertise and digital solutions.
  • Provide expert advice on integrity engineering practices, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
  • Assess client needs and recommend tailored integrity engineering and software solutions.
  • Support clients in developing strategies for asset integrity, inspection planning, and lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering and software teams to design and deliver solutions that meet client requirements.
  • Prepare and present technical proposals, scopes of work, and solution roadmaps.
  • Assist in the implementation and optimization of integrity management systems and digital platforms.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in integrity management.
  • Provide feedback to product development teams to enhance service offerings based on client needs.
  • Work with cross‑functional teams within the New Product Development, Engineering Services and Operations groups to determine the effort and risk required to execute the development.
  • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product and service gaps and generate innovative ideas that increase market share, improve customer experience and drive growth.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of product, engineering services, market, and competition.
  • Assess opportunities for strategic clients.
  • Close coordination with all Oceaneering product development teams to provide overlapping and wider reaching innovative solutions.
  • Provide an interface between products and services offerings and Sales initiatives.
  • Work with corporate marketing teams to manage and implement marketing activities through strategic planning and implementation.
  • Responsible for reporting the execution status of development projects.
  • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding.
  • Serve as in‑house expert for product or service and go‑to person for all functional issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, or business‑related field or equivalent education and experience.
  • Considerable experience in integrity management services.
  • Proven ability to understand complex business problems, adjust priorities as needed, exhibit strong upward communication and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in technical writing (proposals, data sheets, presentations, digital campaigns).
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, analytical and leadership skills.
  • Must hold/maintain a valid passport and be able to obtain visas for international travel.
  • Exposure to international markets.
  • Master’s degree in engineering, technology, or business‑related field.
  • Experience with customer‑facing marketing, communications, and negotiations.
