Duties And Responsibilities
The RBI Engineer supports the Senior RBI Engineer in delivering RBI programs for clients, providing cost-effective and value-adding solutions in mechanical integrity, corrosion engineering, and asset integrity. This role includes technical delivery, software configuration, and client engagement to ensure successful RBI program implementation.
ESSENTIAL
- Deliver RBI programs usingOceaneering’s proprietary RBI software platform, ensuring alignment with client requirements and engineering best practices.
- Configure the software using engineering principles, asset data, and corrosion/integrity knowledge to support accurate risk assessments.
- Collaborate with RBI Implementation and Configuration teams to ensure successful deployment and ongoing support of the RBI system.
- Interpret and apply engineering codes, standards, and legislation relevant to pressure systems and asset integrity.
- Provide technical supervision and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, tenders, and case studies.
- Promote innovative technologies and methods to enhance RBI program efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support budget management and forecasting for RBI projects.
- Travel to client sites as needed for implementation, training, or review.
NON-ESSENTIAL
- Undertake additional tasks as reasonably required.
- Participate in special projects as directed by management.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science (Mechanical, Materials, Chemical, or related discipline).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in integrity, mechanical, process or corrosion engineering or inspection management.
DESIRED
- Professional Engineer status (local region).
- Offshore medical and survival certification.
- API certifications (e.g., API 510, API 570, API 580, API 579) or equivalent (ASME/CSWIP).
