As a Corrosion Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and solutions to mitigate corrosion risks in our offshore operations. You will work closely with our engineering and operations teams to develop and implement corrosion management strategies, ensuring the long‑term integrity and reliability of our assets. Your role will involve conducting thorough inspections, analyzing corrosion data, and recommending appropriate mitigation measures.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive corrosion inspections and assessments on offshore structures and equipment.
  • Analyze corrosion data and trends to identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Recommend and implement corrosion control measures, including coatings, cathodic protection systems, and material selection.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design and optimize corrosion-resistant systems and components.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to operations personnel regarding corrosion-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain corrosion management plans and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Stay updated with the latest corrosion control technologies and best practices in the industry.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation on corrosion-related activities and findings.
  • Participate in root cause analysis of corrosion-related failures and provide recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school is desirable but not essential (engineering or science discipline).
  • Extensive experience and/or training.
  • Strong knowledge of corrosion mechanisms, prevention, and control techniques.
  • Experience with corrosion inspection techniques and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to corrosion management.
