Position Summary

As a CNC Machine Operator in the Machine Shop, you will work with advanced CNC machinery to produce high‑quality components, ensuring all customer and company specifications are met while adhering to stringent safety and quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate and program CNC lathes to produce a variety of pipe connections.
  • Interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Assist in training new team members.
  • Follow all related training, safety, and quality requirements.
  • Support key processes, including Health & Safety, Process Leadership, Investigations, Materials Handling, Process Reporting, and documentation such as JSEA.
  • Follow instructions from the Manufacturing Supervisor or Management.
  • Work flexible shift rotations as required.
  • Adhere to Oceaneering Life Saving Rules.
  • Participate in HSE awareness activities.
  • Perform tasks with diligence in line with the Integrated Management Systems.
  • Contribute to environmental improvement by eliminating waste.
  • Maintain a positive, can‑do attitude and support the culture of safety, quality, ongoing learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Execute additional tasks to support business needs, including adherence to Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality Systems.

Qualifications – Required

  • Background in a heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrable work experience in CNC machining (ideally 3–4 years).

Desired

  • Completion of a relevant apprenticeship.
  • HNC or equivalent qualification in machining.
