Position Summary
This role is a Part Time Position working 22.5 hours per week over 3 days and is offered on a fixed term basis for 18 months. The Assistant Inspection Engineer will provide technical support for inspection activities on allocated projects or assets, ensuring compliance with corporate, regulatory, operational, and commercial requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Comply with HSEQ requirements as described in the HSEQ Manual, Procedures, Staff Handbook, and customer HSEQ requirements.
- Support inspection activities, including asset integrity inspections and monitoring plans for above water facilities.
- Assist in generating inspection work packs for pipework and vessels based on RBI plans and corrosion assessments.
- Maintain accurate inspection isometrics and technical data retrieval.
- Assist in preparing inspection and corrosion data for reviews and client meetings.
- Support in generating inspection drawing mark-ups and maintaining equipment listings.
- Assist in managing the anomaly database and defect evaluations.
- Review completed inspection reports and generate meeting notes and actions.
- Provide general support to project engineers and assist in inspection planning and data management.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent in engineering or 2 yearsβ relevant experience.
- Desired: HNC/HND in engineering, NDT certification.
Knowledge, Skills, and Characteristics
- Minimum 2 years related experience, familiarity with QA/QC, knowledge of NDE systems, ability to meet deadlines, team-oriented, proficient in MS Office.
