Position Summary

To carry out Advanced NDT Inspection techniques on sites within the UK, offshore and overseas. Support Technical Leads and Advanced NDT Management as required. Be self-sufficient and organized in equipment preparation, job execution and post-job activities including timely report writing. Maintain personal qualifications and competencies ensuring they are kept up to date with a focus on Quality, HSE and equipment care.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with client enquiries, organization, preparation and execution of jobs.
  • Assist Technical Leads and Advanced NDT Management in day-to-day activities.
  • Maintain a focus on equipment care, HSE and Quality in all activities in line with Oceaneering policy.
  • Prepare RAMS, Quality reviews and HSE documentation when required (Oceaneering and Client).
  • Train and qualify in Standard and Non-Standard NDT disciplines (internal and external courses).
  • Travel alone or as part of a team; be self-sufficient and organized in all aspects of the work including reporting and job file completion.
  • Hold a full UK driving license.

  • Other duties as assigned by the ANDT Management.

  • Ensure that safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as reasonably practicable to ensure a safe working environment.

Other

  • Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.
  • Perform assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems of the Company.
  • Eliminate waste and contribute to environmentally friendly practices and continuous improvement of the environment.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Standard NDT qualifications to Level 2 at minimum (UT3.1 & 3.2, MPI, DPI, etc.).
  • Non-Standard qualifications as determined by Advanced NDT Management, Level 2 minimum (PAUT, ToFD, API).
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals and to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations.
  • Computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office and 3D packages.
  • Hold a full UK driving license.

Desired

  • HND or Honors Degree in an associated Engineering discipline or equivalent experience in the industry.
  • Gain sufficient qualifications and experience to satisfy the accreditation requirements for the UK engineering council.
  • Be willing to enhance skills up to Level 3 in a given discipline.
  • Three years experience and training with an inspection organization, including Oil, Gas and Power Generation environments.
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft and manufacturer-specific software for advanced technologies.
