The Business Analyst serves as the link between stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into actionable solutions to drive software development. They ensure software products align with organisational objectives, enhance processes, and deliver measurable value through effective analysis, collaboration, and communication. In addition to these core responsibilities, the Senior BA takes on a leadership role in mentoring junior analysts, fostering an environment of continuous improvement, and driving innovation to stay at the forefront of industry best practices.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor junior analysts, fostering their professional development through knowledge sharing, feedback, and guidance.
  • Drive innovation by staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and understanding their complex needs.
  • Utilise advanced communication skills to present technical concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to define solutions that meet both business requirements and technical feasibility through contributing to high-level system design decisions.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Management, or related discipline, or relevant experience.
  • Experience in software development, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Strategic mindset for aligning solutions with organisational goals and driving innovation.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior analysts and foster a collaborative environment.
