As a CNC Machinist in the Machine Shop, your role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to stringent safety and quality standards. You will work with advanced CNC machinery to produce high-quality components, ensuring that all customer and company specifications are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate/program CNC lathe making a variety of pipe connections and assist in training new team members.
  • Understand technical drawings.
  • Apply basic skills and assist with new tasks under direct supervision.
  • Gain proficiency in the use of equipment and related matters.
  • Follow and/or meet requirements of all related training.
  • Contribute towards, support and/or lead key processes and adhere to all required relevant standards including those related to Health & Safety, Process Leadership, Investigations, Materials Handling, Process Reporting, Paperwork (including JSEA documents), Product Quality and Production Schedule.
  • Follow instructions set out by Manufacturing Supervisor/Management.
  • Be flexible to work shift rotations as and when required (subject to appropriate notice).
  • Adhere to Oceaneering Life Saving Rules at all times.
  • Participate in HSE Awareness – Observation Cards, HSE Safety Suggestions.
  • Perform assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems of the Company.
  • Eliminate waste of whatever form, suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.
  • Display required levels of engagement and a positive 'can-do' attitude while consistently supporting Oceaneering culture of Safety, Quality, ongoing learning and continual improvement.
  • Carry out any other roles or tasks as required to support business needs including working in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems plus related site policies/procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Background in a heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrable work experience in CNC machining (ideally 3 – 4 years).
  • Experience in programming Fanuc Manual Guide i / EZ Guide would be highly advantageous.

Desired:

  • Time served/completed relevant Apprenticeship.
  • HNC or similar qualification to include machining skills.
