Job Description
The Senior Survey Instructor plays a crucial role in our organization's training and development efforts.
They are responsible for creating and maintaining survey course curriculums, covering entry-level to advanced topics.
This specialist works closely with key stakeholders, including the Chief Surveyor and Technical Solutions teams, to ensure training materials are up-to-date and aligned with industry needs.
Additionally, they provide hands-on training, conduct vessel visits for system checks, and maintain a shared training calendar to optimize training opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and revise survey course curriculums for entry-level, intermediate, and advanced learners.
- Conduct research and collaborate with subject matter experts to create accurate and relevant training materials.
- Write technical and user manuals to support training programs.
- Manage and maintain classroom supplies and equipment for instructional purposes.
- Outsource equipment rentals for training as needed.
- Deliver formal classroom courses, workshops, and computer-based training sessions.
- Train personnel in mentoring and assessment processes.
- Maintain a shared training calendar and identify opportunities for training field personnel.
- Conduct vessel visits to ensure survey systems' functionality and provide hands-on training.
- Comply with company safety protocols and report any unsafe conditions or practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Education, Training, or a technical discipline.
