Do you want to build and run your own business, without the financial risk of starting out alone? MKM is the UK’s largest independent builders’ merchant, with over 140 branches nationwide and a reputation built on entrepreneurial thinking, local decision-making, and strong customer relationships. Following MKM’s acquisition of Oceanair, the business is now driving ambitious growth within the plumbing, heating, air conditioning and renewables sectors - combining the strength and backing of the largest independent merchant group with the specialist technical expertise that Oceanair is known for across the HVAC industry.
As part of Oceanair’s continued expansion across Scotland, we are looking to partner with experienced individuals already working within the plumbing and heating industries who want the opportunity to build something of their own. At Oceanair, we take a different approach to recruitment - we find the right people first, then build the branch opportunity around them and their local market knowledge. This is more than a branch management role; it is an opportunity to lead, grow and shape your own business with the backing, infrastructure, buying power and support of both Oceanair and MKM behind you.
We are looking for entrepreneurial people with strong industry relationships, technical understanding and the drive to create a successful branch business that becomes a key part of its local trade community.
