Responsibilities

  • The incumbent will be the operations duty-in-charge of the cable car and is responsible for ensuring safe operations of the system; plan resources and budget allocation and devise maintenance plans to ensure maintenance work is carried out in order of priority within the allocated budget.
  • He/she will manage and supervise the cable car maintenance staff and assist them to acquire required skills, knowledge, training and tools to handle urgent system issues and operate all emergency backup systems. He/she will manage the cable car workshop to ensure day-to-day routines and activities are carried out smoothly and legitimately; manage the cable car spare parts store to ensure sufficient parts are kept to support repair and maintenance activities; coordinate with other departments and/or outside contractors for cable car related projects to ensure work completes on-time and within budget without affecting normal cable car operations.
  • Additionally, he/she will act as duty-in-charge of the cable car vertical rescue drill and implement proper execution of the exercise and prepare reports on electrical inspection set out by EMSD.
