Responsibilities include the development and implementation of the Park’s conservation actions, championing biodiversity and sustainability by working with both internal and external stakeholders in conservation. The role involves leading, developing, and managing various biodiversity conservation initiatives to build the community’s capacity to protect biodiversity and promote sustainability.
Major job duties include:
- Development of conservation strategic plan
- Proposal writing
- Project implementation and evaluation
- Supporting staff training and capacity building in disciplines such as animal care, animal training, and animal welfare
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree holder or equivalent professional qualifications in biology, conservation or related discipline (Master-level degree or above preferred)
- At least 3 years of experience in leading, developing, and managing conservation programmes; familiarity with local/regional animal conservation is preferred
- At least 3 years of solid experience in contemporary animal care, animal training, and corresponding staff training would be an advantage
- Excellent leadership, communication, and inter-personal skills
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
- Computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, video editing, etc.
