You’ll join our tight knit, commercially savvy crew to contribute and shape the growth of agency partnerships. You’ll use your expertise to create strategically sound partnerships that deliver on creativity and commercial value for both the client and Ocean.
What you will be doing:
- The Account Director plays a crucial role in shaping and cultivating our agency relationships across a set agency group.
- You will set standards of excellence and work closely with our wider sales team.
- Together with the head of agency sales and other key stakeholders, you will deliver the tactics aligned to the agency strategy to maximize awareness, consideration, engagement and advocacy with agency planning teams.
- Understand and communicate our product proposition, technology, proprietary research, and partnerships, in relation to client needs.
- Proactively identify and pursue new opportunities to drive growth across your agency patch.
- Deliver consistent YoY growth on brand count and average client spend, across your defined agency patch.
- Act as an Ocean Ambassador, evangelising our products and capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help create exciting and commercially strong opportunities for brand and agency planners, that translate into high-value DOOH campaigns.
- Act as the primary contact for key agency partners, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs and providing exceptional service and innovative OOH solutions.
- Develop bespoke engagement programs and initiatives to strengthen agency partnerships and demonstrate the value of our offerings, including hosting agency breakfasts, lunch and learn style sessions with full planning teams and at least one full agency grandstanding event per year.
- Represent Ocean at industry events, conferences and other networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and foster relationships.
- Work closely with the client sales team to ensure consistency of messaging, driving consideration across agency planning teams and clients direct, influencing planning decisions earlier in the planning cycle.
- Become an expert on Ocean’s unique offering in market, learning key research pieces and delivering Ocean’s key marketing comms to relevant brands within your portfolio.
- Report all meeting outcomes on Salesforce, whilst maintaining a sales pipeline.
- As part of a collaborative agency sales team, contribute to work and information sharing to ensure efficiency of work.
- Adhere to Ocean’s tone of voice guidelines.
- Support additional tasks as required.

- Demonstrable experience influencing client media strategies and guiding investment decisions across OOH.
- A natural presenter with regular exposure to agency planners and decision makers.
- Strong understanding of the wider media ecosystem.
- Proven experience developing a commercial pipeline, and meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Self-motivated, curious, with a proactive approach.
- Exceptional commercial acumen, consistently identifying new revenue opportunities, maximising client briefs and creating value.
