About the Opportunity
We are a dynamic and growing reinsurance company headquartered in London, committed to delivering tailored risk solutions across global markets. Our underwriting team is expanding, and we are seeking a qualified graduate in Engineering, Business Administration, International Business, Economics, or Accounting to join our team as an Underwriting Assistant supporting the Property & Facultative Engineering line. This role offers the opportunity to develop within a dynamic and internationally focused underwriting environment, working alongside experienced underwriters operating within the Lloyd's and broader London Market.

- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across diverse cultures and international markets.
- High analytical capability with confidence in handling numerical data, technical information, and underwriting documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team, manage tasks in an organised manner, and perform effectively under pressure while meeting deadlines.
- A motivated self-starter with strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn underwriting principles, processes, and market practices.
- Preferably fluent in Spanish; proficiency in any additional language will be regarded favourably.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to operate within an international business environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to global demands.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience
- ACII or equivalent qualification (or working towards it) preferred.
- Strong analytical and technical underwriting skills, with experience in pricing models and exposure analysis.
- Ability to manage broker relationships.
- Experience working within Lloyd's or the London Market is advantageous.
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
