Proposal Manager

We are seeking an experienced Proposal Manager to join our Aberdeen team. In this highly visible role, you will play a key part in securing new business by leading high‑value proposals across our marine, subsea and offshore energy portfolio. Working closely with engineering, project management, commercial teams and senior leadership, you will manage the full lifecycle of bids and proposals, developing clear, competitive and compliant submissions for clients worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Leading and coordinating proposal activities from opportunity screening and qualification through to final submission
• Developing robust proposal strategies, value propositions and compelling win themes in collaboration with key stakeholders
• Planning and managing proposal schedules, milestones and deliverables to ensure high‑quality, on‑time submissions
• Leading multidisciplinary tender teams and coordinating inputs across the wider organisation
• Managing the quality, consistency and timely delivery of all tender documentation and inputs
• Reviewing, integrating and enhancing technical, commercial and HSE content to ensure clarity, compliance and alignment
• Managing formal correspondence with clients throughout the tender phase until contract handover
• Conducting initial reviews of contract documents and preparing draft qualifications and clarifications
• Working closely with Estimators, Supply Chain and Technical Leads to ensure cost alignment with execution plans, pricing assumptions and risk profile
• Facilitating internal bid reviews, governance processes and management approvals using a structured yet pragmatic approach
• Preparing and presenting tender material to bid teams, senior management and clients as required
• Supporting a structured and effective handover from the proposal phase to project execution teams
• Ensuring implementation of and adherence to procedures within the Business Management System
• Supporting business development activities and new business initiatives as required

Who We’re Looking For

• A collaborative, adaptable and reliable and energetic individual capable of managing multiple deadlines, working on complex projects and the ability to translate technical detail into clear and compelling proposals.
• Proven experience in proposals, bids, tender management or similar roles, preferably within offshore, marine, subsea or energy sector with a background in engineering, business, commercial or a related discipline (degree or equivalent experience)
• Demonstrated experience coordinating cross‑functional teams and managing stakeholders
• A solid understanding of commercial terms, risk, cost build‑ups and basic contract principles
• Confidence using common digital tools such as MS Office, SharePoint and bid management platforms
