Are you an experienced installation engineer looking to lead technically challenging offshore projects? We’re searching for a Principal Installation Engineer who brings strong technical judgement, initiative, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality engineering across a wide variety of scopes.
In this role, you’ll be a trusted technical lead, supporting major projects, studies and tenders while helping shape the next generation of engineering talent.
Responsibilities
- Leading installation scopes across projects, studies and tenders
- Acting as a technical authority, providing clear direction and expert problem‑solving
- Preparing offshore procedures, rigging design and lifting equipment verification
- Producing and reviewing drawings, sketches, CAD inputs and technical documentation
- Supporting tendering, procurement, RFQs and subcontractor management
- Driving quality through technical reviews, risk assessments, HAZIDs/HAZOPs and lessons learned
- Managing interfaces across disciplines, contractors and internal stakeholders
- Taking Technical Lead roles when required, ensuring well‑planned and delivered scopes
- Supporting occasional offshore trips, mobilisations, FATs, SITs and site visits
Qualifications
- Strong installation engineering experience, ideally at Principal level
- Confidence leading scopes and delivering complex technical work independently
- Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams
- A proactive approach to planning, risk management and problem‑solving
- Ability to coach, support and empower less experienced engineers
- A mindset focused on continuous improvement and high‑quality delivery
