Ocean Infinity is seeking Senior Commercial Project Managers. The Senior Commercial Project Manager is the single accountable owner for end-to-end project delivery, responsible for scope, schedule, safety, cost, quality, and client satisfaction from tender handover through to project close-out. The role acts as a senior Project Management subject matter expert, capable of delivering Ocean Infinity’s most complex commercial projects, including multi-vessel operations. The position sits at the centre of cross-functional delivery, integrating Marine, Service Delivery, Finance, and Commercial teams to ensure consistent execution and a unified client experience. The Senior Commercial Project Manager will provide leadership and line management to a team of approximately 2 to 4 Commercial PMs and Deputy PMs. The role operates within Ocean Infinity’s digital-first delivery model, leveraging standardised tools, automation, and a defined governance framework to optimise delivery outcomes.

What You Will Do

  • Lead complex projects through all phases, from tender handover and planning to mobilisation, execution, reporting, and close-out.
  • Coordinate resources across Marine, Service Delivery, Finance, and Commercial to align with project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Communicate on project progress, following reporting and governance processes defined by Ocean Infinity’s operating model.
  • Analyse project status, managing risks, issues, and challenges, and escalate where necessary to ensure successful delivery.
  • Provide people leadership and line management to a small team of 2 to 4 Project Managers and Deputy Project Managers, contributing to capability development and function maturity.
  • Typically, accountable for high-value, high-complexity projects with direct exposure to senior client stakeholders.

End-to-End Project Leadership

  • Lead the delivery of assigned vessel or multi-vessel projects, owning all aspects of scope, schedule, cost, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Act as the single point of contact for the client throughout the project lifecycle, managing all communications, updates, and issue resolution.
  • Plan and coordinate across Fleet Operations, Service Delivery, and Finance to ensure readiness, alignment, and successful mobilisation.
  • Chair project meetings (kick-off, weekly syncs, client reviews, close-out), ensuring clear actions, accountability, and progress tracking.

Commercial & Financial Management

  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and change control in partnership with the Cost Controller.
  • Partner with the Commercial and Account Management teams to identify, develop, and realise additional commercial opportunities within existing contracts and active projects, ensuring opportunities are operationally viable, contractually compliant, and aligned with delivery priorities.
  • Maintain accurate financial oversight, including cost tracking, variance analysis, milestone billing, and revenue recognition.
  • Proactively identify and manage commercial risks, contract variations, and scope changes, ensuring margin protection and compliance with contractual terms.

Integrated Project Delivery

  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans and schedules, aligning operational and technical milestones across all functions.
  • Oversee mobilisation, offshore operations, data acquisition, reporting, and demobilisation, ensuring all prerequisites and deliverables are met.
  • Consolidate and review deliverables with Service Delivery teams, ensuring client specifications and quality standards are achieved.

Governance, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure compliance with company standards, governance checkpoints, and documentation requirements.
  • Oversee project reporting, risk management, and lessons learned capture, using digital tools and dashboards for real-time visibility.
  • Act as a role model for disciplined project governance and consistent application of Ocean Infinity’s operating model.
  • Drive continuous improvement by capturing feedback, sharing lessons learned, and contributing to the evolution of project management processes and templates.

Stakeholder & Team Leadership

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and advocate for Ocean Infinity’s delivery model.
  • Influence and align internal stakeholders, including Marine, Service Delivery, Finance, and Commercial, to resolve issues and secure resources.
  • Mentor and guide Deputy Project Managers and support upskilling of junior team members as the function scales.

Escalation & Issue Management

  • Own the escalation process for operational, commercial, or delivery risks, coordinating cross-functional responses and recovery plans.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients and internal teams during escalations, ensuring timely resolution and transparency.
  • Exercise professional judgement to resolve issues within agreed authority limits, escalating only where cost, schedule, safety, or client tolerances are exceeded.

People Leadership

  • Line management of a small team of 2 to 4 Project Managers and Deputy Project Managers.
  • Performance and capability management of team members, ensuring consistent delivery standards and professional behaviours.

Who You Are

  • Proven experience delivering complex, high value client facing projects in offshore, maritime, or vessel-based environments, working closely with vessel operations, offshore crews, and onshore service delivery teams from tender or contract handover through to completion.
  • Experience taking full end-to-end accountability for project scope, schedule, cost, quality, HSE performance, and client outcomes.
  • Recognised project management qualification or equivalent senior level project delivery experience (e.g. PMP, APM PMQ).
  • Experience delivering multivessel or multidiscipline projects or operating in similarly complex operational environments.
  • Strong commercial project management experience, including budget ownership, forecasting, cost control, change management, milestone billing, and commercial risk management.
  • Experience identifying and supporting the development of additional commercial opportunities within active projects in partnership with commercial or account management teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and lead multidisciplinary teams across operational, technical, finance, and commercial functions.
  • Direct experience managing client relationships, including engagement with senior client stakeholders, formal reporting, risk management, issue resolution, and escalations.
  • Experience line managing and mentoring junior project management staff, contributing to capability development and performance management.
  • Experience contributing to the development or improvement of project governance, processes, standards, or delivery frameworks.
  • Strong project leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across functions and seniority levels.
  • High level of commercial, financial, and contractual awareness, with sound professional judgement.
  • Excellent planning, problem solving, and decision-making capability in dynamic and time critical environments.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills suitable for senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage pressure, uncertainty, and escalation in operational delivery environments.
  • Proactive, accountable, and client focused approach, with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Disciplined approach to governance, risk management, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and develop Project Managers and Deputy Project Managers as the function scales.

Desirable

  • Chartered Project Manager (ChPP); degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, Marine Operations, or a related discipline.
