Ocean Infinity is seeking a Logistics Assistant to support the Logistics Lead with all aspects of freight and shipping within Ocean Infinity on a global scale.
What you will do:
- Collaborate closely with the Logistics Lead to gain in-depth knowledge of global equipment movement, ensuring smooth operations and proper administration of required paperwork.
- Monitor and manage logistics-related emails, ensuring timely responses and effective communication.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, agents, and suppliers to organize and oversee international shipments from initiation to delivery.
- Keep relevant teams updated on the status of shipments (pending, current, due, or in transit) using relevant means.
- Create, record, and maintain accurate documentation, understanding its implications for audits, reference and future movements.
- Organise local shipments as required.
- Organize courier services for deliveries and collections as needed.
- Communicate effectively with vessels, suppliers, agents, and shipping destinations to ensure all shipment requirements are met.
- Ensure proper packing of all shipments from Ocean Infinity locations, maintaining safety and security standards.
- Possess a basic understanding of Dangerous Goods requirements and regulations.
- Have a working knowledge of export control licensing, including recording and reporting as required by different regions.
- Assist the warehouse team with packaging, preparation, shipping, and courier delivery arrangements, and provide additional support as needed.
Who you are:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in freight forwarding, logistics or similar roles.
- Marine logistics or marine industries background.
- Experience with the various stages of international shipping, both import and export.
- Proficiency in basic IT tools, particularly MS Office with a focus on Excel.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism.
- Familiarity with Inventory/Logistics/Finance software (e.g., NetSuite).
- A strong team player who strives for the best outcomes for the team.
- Capable in time management and able to prioritize in fast-paced environments.
- Possess strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive and self-motivated, working effectively with minimal supervision.
- Open to new ideas and willing to take initiative.
- Enthusiastic about sustainability and environmental protection.

Salary for this position: Up to £35,000 per annum. The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades. The salary process is based on skills, abilities, and experience required.
