Ocean Infinity is seeking a Finance Manager to take ownership of month-end close, reporting, and statutory compliance across a portfolio of international legal entities. This role focuses on strong balance sheet control, audit delivery, and translating financial performance into clear, decision-useful insight for stakeholders. You will work closely with operational and finance teams to ensure accurate reporting, robust controls, and continuous improvement across entity-level finance processes.
What will you do:
- Lead month-end close for assigned entities, including journals, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and analytical review.
- Produce monthly reporting packs including P&L, balance sheet, and commentary, and present results to finance leadership and stakeholders.
- Own balance sheet integrity, ensuring reconciliations are complete, issues are tracked, and ageing items are resolved.
- Maintain and apply entity-level accounting policies in line with group standards.
- Manage statutory audits and local compliance, including audit planning, PBC delivery, and issue resolution.
- Prepare or oversee statutory accounts and ensure timely, accurate filings.
- Coordinate with tax and payroll stakeholders to support compliant reporting.
- Prepare and maintain entity-level cashflow forecasts and working capital insights.
- Partner with Treasury on funding requirements, intercompany activity, and payment prioritisation.
- Provide variance analysis and explain key drivers of cash movements.
- Build strong relationships with operational stakeholders across Ops, Project Controls, HR, and Procurement.
- Translate operational activity into clear financial narratives, including performance, balance sheet movements, and key variances.
- Provide feedback to improve coding discipline, approvals, and documentation quality.
- Coach and review work delivered by part-qualified accountants, setting clear expectations on deadlines and quality.
- Support finance transformation initiatives, including process standardisation, close improvements, and automation.
Qualifications and skills:
- Qualified ACA, ACCA, or equivalent experience.
- Strong experience in entity accounting, including month-end close, balance sheet control, and statutory audit processes.
- Experience working with operational stakeholders and presenting financial performance clearly.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or similar.
- Proactive and organised, with the ability to operate in evolving environments.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to drive issues through to resolution.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively across teams and regions.
