Ocean Infinity is looking for an Online Survey Lead to support the continued growth of our Southampton Remote Operations Centre. In this role, you’ll lead the online survey team to the delivery of live survey acquisition operations, ensuring data is captured safely, efficiently, and in line with approved technical standards. You’ll manage shift based rotational teams, oversee system performance, and translate technical requirements into consistent, high-quality operational results.
What you will do:
- Lead and coordinate day-to-day survey acquisition activities from the ROC;
- Supervise and support surveyors and acquisition teams during live operations;
- Ensure data quality, integrity and compliance with QA/QC standards and project specifications;
- Monitor real-time system performance, troubleshoot issues, and maintain operational continuity;
- Prepare projects for mobilisation, including system checks, configuration and readiness validation;
- Act as the operational interface with Technical Authority – Survey and key project stakeholders;
- Support tender reviews and provide operational input into project planning and delivery;
- Maintain accurate operational reporting, logs and acquisition records;
- Drive standardisation, procedural compliance and continuous improvement across operations.

- Strong experience in survey acquisition across offshore and/or remote operations;
- Proven leadership of online survey teams in a live operational environment;
- Solid understanding of survey systems, sensors and acquisition workflows;
- Strong focus on data quality, operational discipline and delivery standards;
- Confident decision-maker, able to resolve issues in real time and under pressure;
- Effective communicator who can bridge technical, operational and project teams.
Salary for this position: Up to £90,000 per annum. The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades. The salary process is based on skills, abilities, and experience required.
