  • Marine & Offshore Assets: supporting operational, asset-heavy teams delivering offshore and onshore operations
  • Defence & National Security: supporting a fast-paced, programme-led environment working with defence and government customers

In both roles, you will hold operational responsibility for driving the people agenda, partnering with leadership to embed a high-performance culture and make commercially focused people decisions that directly support business outcomes. The roles are focused on strengthening capability, performance and organisational effectiveness—using data, technology and innovative people solutions to optimise delivery and drive sustainable growth.

What you will do

  • Lead workforce planning activity, identifying capability and resource gaps and implementing proactive, commercially viable solutions
  • Design and deliver talent strategies (e.g. succession planning, early careers, pipelining) aligned to business demand
  • Partner with leaders to improve management capability, identifying gaps and implementing targeted development plans
  • Act early and decisively on performance issues, ensuring underperformance is managed appropriately and consistently
  • Identify and develop high-performing / high-potential employees through structured development and feedback
  • Proactively manage employee relations matters, addressing issues before escalation into formal processes
  • Own and evolve the performance management approach, embedding regular, meaningful feedback across the year
  • Ensure consistency and compliance with company policies and employment legislation, recommending improvements where required
  • Use data and insights to inform decision-making and track progress against key people metrics
  • Drive and support ESG initiatives, with a focus on improving diversity and building inclusive teams
  • Lead or contribute to projects that enable business transformation and operational delivery
  • Support leadership teams with clear, effective communication and cascade of business priorities

Who you are

  • CIPD qualified (Associate level or above)
  • Proven HR Business Partner experience in complex, fast-paced environments
  • Background or interest in technology, marine/offshore or defence sectors
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior level
  • Commercially minded, able to translate business priorities into practical people solutions
  • Confident operating in performance-driven environments with high accountability
  • Experience supporting organisational change, growth or transformation
  • Strong working knowledge of HR systems (ideally Workday) and comfortable leveraging technology
  • Data-driven, with experience producing and interpreting reports (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience working in global or multi-country environments
  • Strong understanding of employment legislation and HR best practice
  • Experience in a specialist HR area (e.g. Talent, Reward, OD) is beneficial

Salary for this position: Up to £80,000 per annum. The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades. The salary process is based on skills, abilities, and experience required.
